Post medieval copper alloy and silver spoon terminal of 18th century date The spoon was of 'apostle' form and is fragmentary (with a surviving length of 34.8mm and a weight of 5.8g) and comprises a copper alloy terminal surmounted on a silver handle. The terminal is heavily-corroded and appears to depict a standing figure (25.5mm long,9.0mm wide and 5.4mm thick) seemingly cloaked and with the right arm bent to the chest and may possibly have depicted the Virgin with Child. Grey flint thickly patinated with cortex possible plano-convex knife. Elongated flake of plano-convex section. Minimal short abrupt pressure flaked retouch along one edge has trimmed cortex to produce a single durable cutting edge. It seems likely that the patination of the ventral surface was acquired before this reworking. Suggested date: Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age, 2700-1600 BC. Length: 45.0mm, Width: 20mm, Thickness: 7.6mm, Weight: 8.79gms.

Dark grey flint with cortex and cloudy patina plano-convex knife. Flake with a bulb on its ventral side and with parallel strips of invasive scalar retouch on both its long sides removing cortex and forming durable cutting edges. These have acquired an identical patina to the ventral side, which extends to an obliquely snapped end. Suggested date: Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age, 2700-1600 BC. Length: 33.4mm, Width: 18.2mm, Thickness: 8.0mm, Weight: 5.68gms.

A worn copper alloy post-medieval token, formed from a halfpenny of George II (AD 1727-1760). The coin has been clipped to form a serrated edge around its circumference, and nearly all detail has been removed or worn away - one can just make out the left facing bust of George II. On the reverse of the coin the initials W K have been incised. Tokens were a common occurance from the 17th century, some lead tokens being crudely made while other copper alloy tokens were manufactured to much higher standards.
