A complete copper alloy single loop buckle frame and pin, of Medieval dating (AD 1250 to AD 1500). The buckle has a sub oval frame, with an expanded outside edge. The strap bar is narrowed. The pin has been made from a triangular piece of sheet copper alloy metal. It has been wrapped around the strap bar. The pin narrows to a blunt point. The buckle measures 13.5 mm in length, 8.6 mm wide and 2.9 mm thick. It weighs 0.5 g. The buckle is a mid green colour, with an even surface patina. A worn and corroded iron annular buckle frame of probable Medieval or later date. It has an annular frame that is circular in section. Hinging around the frame is a separately cast iron pin that is rectangular in form, oval in section, and has a rounded tip that is currently stuck to the underside of the frame due to post-depositional iron corrosion. The entire object measures 16.07mm in diameter, 3.10mm in thickness, and 1.54g in weight. This buckle frame is of probable Medieval date, c.14th-15th centuries AD, if not slightly later (as Egan and Pritchard, 1991: nos. 55, 72, 88).

A complete cast copper alloy uniface coin weight, of Medieval to Post Medieval dating (c. AD 1350 to c. AD 1550). The weight is sub circular in plan and the obverse face has a moulded design consisting of a fleur de lis / lys, with a pellet border. The reverse face is plain and undecorated. The coin weight has a diameter of 14.25 mm and is 2.70 mm thick. It weighs 2.96 grams. Withers & Withers (1995, 33) suggest that the fleur de lis / lys was used in both England and France for a florin between c. AD 1350 and c. AD 1550. A copper alloy medieval strap slide dating to the period c. AD 1300 - 1400. The strap slide consists of a rectangular frame with one side expanded out into a six-sided lenticular shape. This slide is slightly convex and has an incised groove running around the edge of create a border. There are incised parallel lines visible on several of the surfaces of the strap slide which may be tool marks. The object has a dark green shiny patina. The strap slide measures 24.84mm in length, 9.81mm maximum width, 3.32mm minimum width and weighs 5.73g.

A copper-alloy single-loop buckle of medieval date. The frame is D-shaped in plan, has sloping upper surfaces, a flat underside and an offset axis bar. The two tabs linking the rectangular front plate and incomplete back plate have been folded around this bar. Two copper-alloy rivets, located at the corners at the frame end of the plate, join together the upper and lower plates, with two empty rivet holes at the opposite end of the upper plate. The now-missing pin would originally have been looped around the axis bar via the space between the two aforementioned plate tabs.

An incomplete and distorted copper-alloy frame from a medieval single-loop buckle. The frame comprises a strip of flat section which narrows towards the inner side, where it terminates in two opposing axis bar cylinders. The axis bar is largely missing, but iron corrosion on both cylinders attests to its former composition. Longitudinal lines of rocker-arm grooves decorate the outer face of the frame.

A medieval cast copper-alloy buckle frame. The frame is oval, with an offset bar, the bar being distorted as a result of old damage. There is a grooved pin rest in the centre of the pointed outside edge, flanked to each side by a double moulding parallel to the groove; the mouldings project slightly beyond the outside edge, to the front of the buckle. The strap union is formed of two circular conjoined openwork elements arranged like a figure of eight. They are flat on the underside and domed on top. An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age La Tene I brooch dating to the period c. 400 - 200 BC. Only two loops of the pin remain wrapped around the remains of the copper alloy axis bar. It terminates in an old break. The pin is missing. The bow arches upwards from the head and is cylindrical in cross-section. The bow is undecorated. It then arches downwards into the foot which terminates in a curled catchplate. The brooch measures 31.48mm in length, 6.05mm maximum width, 2.87mm minimum width and is 6.46mm thick. It weighs 3.36g. A copper alloy early medieval strap end dating to the 9th century. The strap end has a debased head with the ears behind; the neck is slightly waisted. On the curving body is a six-sided panel which contains a sinuous interlacing beast whose tale ends in a scroll and whose head looks forward to the left, the mouth agape. A leg and foot can be seen adjacent to the lower part of the frame. The decoration has been inalid with what appears to have been niello, though now rather degraded. Two silver coins, late issues of the Amirs of Sind, probably of the ruler Ahmad or imitations thereof. They were produced in the early 11th Century. Coin 1: 0.28g, 8mm Coin 2: 0.30g, 7mm The coins originated from the area of modern day Pakistan. It is extremely unlikely that they would have circulated so far at the time they were in use, and their transportation to Britain probably did not take place before the second Anglo-Maratha War (1802-3) when the East India Company first established itself in regions where these coins are found.

An incomplete cast copper alloy socketed axehead, of possible Late Bronze Age dating (1000 BC to 800 BC). Probably less than 40% of the socketed axehead is present, consisting of part of the main body, the base of the socket and the blade edge. The fragment is sub rectangular in plan, and triangular in section. The socket is sub-rectangular in shape. Casting ridges are present along one of the sides. A cast copper alloy flat axe of Early Bronze Age date, about 2200 BC - 1950 BC. The axe is probably a broad butt flat axe of Migdale type (decorated Variant) and is decorated with rain pattern. The blade flares from about two thirds of the way from the butt, with angular shoulders; this may have been secondary hammering; the cutting edge was narrower to begin with. The blade is 70.3mm wide at the tips, and flares from 46.2mm wide at the change of angle. The butt is 33.2mm wide half way along, and has a rounded end.
