A worn copper alloy post-medieval token, formed from a halfpenny of George II (AD 1727-1760). The coin has been clipped to form a serrated edge around its circumference, and nearly all detail has been removed or worn away - one can just make out the left facing bust of George II. On the reverse of the coin the initials W K have been incised. Tokens were a common occurance from the 17th century, some lead tokens being crudely made while other copper alloy tokens were manufactured to much higher standards. It measures 17.19mm in incomplete length, 14.96mm in width, 1.67mm in max.thickness and weighs 1.19g. Flanking the rectangular loop (internal measurement 11.21x3.16mm) is a wide (7mm), concave cross-sectioned groove. Pale buff flint with cortex and cloudy white patina patches knife. Flake with a single flake removed from its dorsal side and a prominent bulb on the ventral, both from hard hammer strike. Very short abrupt retouch executed from the ventral aspect interrupts the patina and forms a cutting edge along one curving side. Cortex is also removed along from the opposite edge; this and other chips which interrupt cortex or patina could have arisen fortuitously. A copper alloy fragment of a possible prick spur of uncertain date (possibly medieval to post-medieval - AD c.1100-c.1700), missing all but the goad and a length of the shaft connecting it to the back of the spur. Overall, the fragment measures 29.7mm long and 11.0mm in diameter. It weighs 6.11g. The goad is conical with a slightly flattened point. It measures 12.8mm long and 11.0mm in diameter. The shaft is circular in cross-section and measures 17.1mm long and 3.8mm in diameter.

An incomplete unidentified object, very similar to BH-CA39C0. It comprises an incomplete copper-alloy ring, circular in cross-section (c.3mm diameter) and with a double moulded collar to one side from which extends a circular-section spigot, apparently tapering to a point. It measures 15.77mm in length, 15.27mm in max.width and 6.57mm in max.thickness (at the collar). It weighs 2.42g. Of BH-CA39C0 the authors write 'The form of this piece suggests it was probably a swivelling handle attachment, probably from a Roman metal vessel'.

A copper alloy early medieval strap end dating to the 9th century. The strap end has a debased head with the ears behind; the neck is slightly waisted. On the curving body is a six-sided panel which contains a sinuous interlacing beast whose tale ends in a scroll and whose head looks forward to the left, the mouth agape. A leg and foot can be seen adjacent to the lower part of the frame. The decoration has been inalid with what appears to have been niello, though now rather degraded. The bifurcated attachment end is a little broken.

Roman gold finger ring, rather crushed and distorted and quite heavily worn. The circular hoop of lenticular cross-section expands to narrow triangular shoulders, one decorated with a slightly raised moulding the other with a pair of shallow incised lines. The bezel is flat, sub-rectangular and undecorated. Discussion: a not dissimilar ring was discovered at Highnam, Gloucestershire (2006 T136; PAS GLO-DAC097).
