A silver-gilt Post Medieval hooked tag, dating from the 16th century. The back plate is trefoil with a pinked edge. There is a hollow domed boss soldered to the front of each lobe. These are decorated with three filigree circles on each, a pellet in the centre and a filigree border at the base of each boss. Some of the decoration is missing. In the centre of the plate is circular hole. Comparison with more complete examples suggests that this rivet once held in place a sheet flower held by a butterfly pin which would split on the reverse. A cast copper alloy flat axe of Early Bronze Age date, about 2200 BC - 1950 BC. The axe is probably a broad butt flat axe of Migdale type (decorated Variant) and is decorated with rain pattern. The blade flares from about two thirds of the way from the butt, with angular shoulders; this may have been secondary hammering; the cutting edge was narrower to begin with. The blade is 70.3mm wide at the tips, and flares from 46.2mm wide at the change of angle. The butt is 33.2mm wide half way along, and has a rounded end. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman zoomorphic plate brooch in the form of a bird. It is missing the head, wings, pin, catchplate, lug and part of the tail due to old breaks, now worn. It is flat. The main body is sub-oval in form and tapers before expanding to a flaring tail. At the top of the body are the remains of where the now missing head would have been placed. An incomplete cast copper alloy late Iron Age to early Roman strap union of Taylor and Brailsford's (1985:247) Type 1.2. The strap union is formed of two circular conjoined openwork elements arranged like a figure of eight. They are flat on the underside and domed on top. There is the remains of the strap bars eminating from the centre of each side of the figure of eight, with one strap bar surviving to a length of 9.1mm.
