An incomplete and extremely worn Roman copper alloy bow brooch, possibly of Hod Hill type (AD 43-70) and consisting of the foot, bow, incomplete catchplate and a flattened, thinner section at the top of the bow where it would presumably have extended into rolled wings. The break here is old. At the break, it measures 3.95x0.28mm. Below, at the top of the bow, it measures 5.77x1.47, narrowing over c.21mm to 3.40x2.01mm just above a very worn moulded rib which separates the bow from the foot. An incomplete Roman (AD 50-150) copper alloy Colchester derivitive brooch with a spring mechanism, missing most of one wing, the foot and catchplate, and the spring and pin. The brooch measures 42.01mm in incomplete length and weighs 7.78g. All original patina is missing and all breaks are old. The wings are 'C' shaped in cross-section and span 19.48mm. Originally, they would have spanned c.28mm. There is no apparent decoration to the front of the wings. An incomplete Early Post-Medieval (1500-1700) hooked tag, consisting of an incomplete openwork plate and a rectangular loop. The hook is missing. It measures 17.19mm in incomplete length, 14.96mm in width, 1.67mm in max.thickness and weighs 1.19g. Flanking the rectangular loop (internal measurement 11.21x3.16mm) is a wide (7mm), concave cross-sectioned groove. An incomplete unidentified object, very similar to BH-CA39C0. It comprises an incomplete copper-alloy ring, circular in cross-section (c.3mm diameter) and with a double moulded collar to one side from which extends a circular-section spigot, apparently tapering to a point. It measures 15.77mm in length, 15.27mm in max.width and 6.57mm in max.thickness (at the collar). It weighs 2.42g. Of BH-CA39C0 the authors write 'The form of this piece suggests it was probably a swivelling handle attachment, probably from a Roman metal vessel'.

A fragment of late early-medieval (1000-1100) copper alloy bridle cheek-piece of Williams Type 2. It consists of long tapering projection ending in a rounded knob, and at the other end extending into an openwork design of three narrower projections around two semi-circular holes. The breaks at each arm are worn and old. The object is trapezoidal in cross-section, being flat to the underside with several grooves and rough to the touch. Copper alloy Bronze Age blade fragment from a knife. This has a low oval cross-section with tapered blades on either side. At one end the edges are tapered inwards the tip, which is now truncated. The rear of the blade is also truncated make it impossible to determine if it had a socket or tang. When viewed in side profile blade has a slight curve, which straightens out towards the tip, this curve does not look to be post-depositional damage and is therefore part of the design on the knife. The date range for this type of knife is c1100 to c800BC.

Cast copper alloy rim fragment from a bowl or cooking vessel with an internally bevelled rim that is triangular in profile and flush with the upper edge of the vessel. The body of the vessel curves downwards slightly to suggest a reasonably deep straight-sided bowl or a deep straight-sided everted rim, as seen on cauldrons, and the curvature of the rim suggests a diameter of about 280 mm. The bevelled rim itself is 5 mm thick which then tapers to the body which is 3.6 mm thick. Just over half of a copper-alloy double-loop buckle of post-Medieval date. The intact side of the frame is sub-pentagonal in plan, the axis bar having a rounded lobe at either end. The widest part of the frame is the pin rest, located at the right-hand end. The buckle has flat surfaces, bevelled edges and a possible white metal coating.
