A post medieval pottery sherd (AD1500-1800) from a circular vessel. The sherd is a fine, hard, reddish orange coloured clay; dark brown glaze on both surfaces, only fragments of the glaze remaining on the outer surface There is a series of impressed indentations average length 24.6m (probably made by a thumb), 10.8mm below the outer edge of the rim. Below this the vessel wall thins to approx..8.61mm. A Medieval lead alloy pilgrim souvenir in the form of a candle holder, dating AD 1250-1300. The object has a round base with a flaring body that has three feet spaced evenly around. The feet are in the form of trefoils, resembling lion's paws. In the centre is a cylindrical socket which is pinched at the base. On the reverse there is a recess where the socket is, suggesting it was originally separate. There is some damage to the base and wear around the inscription.
