A worn copper alloy post-medieval token, formed from a halfpenny of George II (AD 1727-1760). The coin has been clipped to form a serrated edge around its circumference, and nearly all detail has been removed or worn away - one can just make out the left facing bust of George II. On the reverse of the coin the initials W K have been incised. Tokens were a common occurance from the 17th century, some lead tokens being crudely made while other copper alloy tokens were manufactured to much higher standards. A complete lead or lead alloy token of the Medieval to Post Medieval period (AD 1400 - AD 1800). The obverse depicts five raised lines with are separating the circle into five segments (Powell Type 3). The reverse is undecorated. The casting sprue is still present as a sub rectangular knop at the top of the token. The token has a diameter of 24.3 mm (including the casting knop and 20.4 mm without the casting knop). A mostly complete post medieval copper alloy trading token dating to the 17th century. A shield is just discernable on one side, but the token is very worn and nothing else is legible. It is black-brown in colour, with areas of green. It is particularly worn around the edges. It is circular and its diameter is 18.92mm, its thickness is 1.26mm and its weight is 1.45g. A complete lead or lead alloy unifaced token of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval dating (AD 1400 to AD 1800). The token is circular in shape. The obverse depicts a geometric design of what appears to be a six pointed star on top of a five pointed star, made up of raised lines. This is surrounded by a raised circular ridge border (Powell Type 9). The reverse is undecorated, but has a deep, horizontal gouge (scar) at the base. A complete, struck/hammered copper alloy Trade Token of the Post Medieval Period, dating from AD 1600 - AD 1700. The token is very worn and as a result the detail is difficult to make out. The edge of the token is ragged with pieces missing. The obverse of the token depicts a possible bell, due to wear and corrosion this is uncertain.
