An incomplete copper-alloy buckle plate of Roman date. Only part of the open work plate survives, the remainder of the object is missing due to old breaks, now worn. At the top of the plate is the remains of a rectangular projection which is trapezoidal in section. This connects to the flat plate with two complete and one incomplete circular open work decoration. Beneath these are the remains of rectangular open work decoration before terminating in old breaks. The front face has traces of white metal coating. The back face is undecorated.
