A complete but slightly distorted silver stud fastener, possibly a cuff link or button of Post-Medieval date. The object consists of two sheet plates of silver joined together at the centre of each reverse by an integral shank. The reverse plate is circular and has a maker's mark, possibly [.]R within an oval cartouche. The front plate is octagonal in plan and is slightly smaller than the reverse plate.
