A cast lead two part cloth seal of Post-Medieval date. It comprises two discs joined by a rectangular connecting strip and held together by an integral central rivet that is pushed through and visible on the front face of disc 2. Disc 1 carries a decorative motif comprising a nude female figure standing left, right arm raised holding uncertain object, perhaps a flag or similar that trails behind her back. Post medieval lead inkwell of 17th to 18th century date The inkwell is complete with some surface damage (with a length of 44.0mm and a weight of 254.8g). The base is flat and sub-circular with nine bold ribs (giving a diameter of 40.6mm - 13.0mm). The base appears to be inscribed with monograms, with possibly two represented with differing styles and form. The central, deeper and initial monogram appears to be NT, and is flanked by NJ, but with an inconsistent orientation. A complete cast lead object probably a weight or gaming piece of uncertain date. It is rectangular in form and section. All surfaces are undecorated. This object measures 22.85mm in length, 18.87mm in width, 6.65mm in thickness, 26.06g in weight. There are similar examples recorded on the PAS database (SF-EB7D11), (LON-6A4983), (NMS-7F64B5), (NMS-05E756). These all suggest a variety of dates, however a later date seems most likely, perhaps in the Medieval to Post-Medieval periods.
