FLO comment: The evidence for such stones having been used as pot boilers is limited, and it is possible that this is simply an accidentally burned stone.

A flint scraper dating to the Neolithic period, c. 4000-2350 BC. The scraper has been made on a flake and could be described as a 'thumbnail' scraper due to its size. There is no bulb or platform retained. Invasive soft-hammer retouch is visible around both laterals and the distal end, however there is none on the proximal end. All retouching is limited to the dorsal surface. The scraper has been burnt, after it was formed. Three etouched flakes of probable Mesolithic to early Bronze Age date (c. 7000 - 1601BC). The fragments consist of three flakes. All three flakes exhibit short abrupt scaled retouch along one mesal edge. None of the flakes retains any cortex and all are struck off tertiary flakes. The flint varies in colour from dark grey to off-white. One of them displays substantial patination. They vary in length from 30.31mm to 26.34mm and in width from 22.55mm to 10.31mm. They collectively weigh 10.42g.

A knapped flint end scraper of probable Neolithic or Early Bronze Age date (c. 4000-1000 BC). The flint is a tertiary flake and is covered with white and light grey patina with visible areas of brown flint. One side and dorsal end have been shaped with short, scaled, semi-abrupt and crossed abrupt retouch. The scraper is 34.3 mm in length, 19.9 mm wide, 6.7 mm thick and weighs 5.4 g.

A knapped flint rounded scraper of probable Neolithic or Early Bronze Age date (c. 4000-1000 BC). The flint is a primary flake and is black in colour; the dorsal face is covered with cream-orange cortex. The sides have been shaped with short, scaled, semi-abrupt and abrupt retouch. The scraper is 18.2 mm in length, 27.5 mm wide, 10.3 mm thick and weighs 5.8 g.

One of the flakes displays a small patch of short abrupt scaled retouch along one mesal edge, however, there is no other sign of retouch on the other flake. Neither of the flakes retains any cortex and both are struck off tertiary flakes. The flint varies in colour from dark grey to off-white. They vary in length from 38.35mm to 20.24mm and in width from 23.29mm to 4.22mm. They collectively weigh 7.05g.
