A complete copper alloy Strap Fitting or Mount of the Medieval period (AD 1300 - AD 1400).
The fitting is irregular in plan and sub rectangular in cross section. It is slightly concave on the reverse side. The irregular plan consists of a quatrefoil with sub triangular knops in each tressure (corner). It is usually known as a Heraldic Style Mount. The decoration on the obverse has been worn away.
