A glass Roman gaming counter dating to the period c. AD 43 - 410. The counter is oval in shape and convex. The reverse is slightly dished. The counter is a very dark opaque blue/black and features a central inset spot of red glass surrounded by three irregularly sized spots of white glass on the upper face. The underside of the gaming counter features a number of air holes from the manufacture process. Cf. HESH-5792F7 for a similar example on the database. Cf.
