A post medieval pottery sherd (AD1500-1800) from a circular vessel. The sherd is a fine, hard, reddish orange coloured clay; dark brown glaze on both surfaces, only fragments of the glaze remaining on the outer surface There is a series of impressed indentations average length 24.6m (probably made by a thumb), 10.8mm below the outer edge of the rim. Below this the vessel wall thins to approx..8.61mm. Post-medieval gilt copper alloy harness mount with remains of a pair of integral circular-sectioned attachment spikes on the reverse. A more slender version of Read 2001, nos. 287 and 288 with a circular lobe at the broad end, trefoil at the other end. The face is decorated with a longitudinal line of small punched annulets between six slightly larger annulets. Length 28mm. Width 8mm. 17th century.

An early Neolithic flint core rejuvination flake dating to the period c. 4000 - 3501 BC. The flake features five parallel negative flake removal scars on one surface from the production of blades and bladelets. The rejuvination flake has been struck off the core at a ninety degree angle to these scars. The bulb of percussion is diffuse and the flake terminates in a hinged fracture. A knapped flint end scraper of probable Neolithic or Early Bronze Age date (c. 4000-1000 BC). The flint is a secondary or tertiary flake and is dark brown and dark grey in colour; cortex is reforming on all surfaces. Two edges have been shaped with short, sub-parallel, abrupt retouch. The scraper is 24.8 mm in length, 29.5 mm wide, 7.0 mm thick and weighs 7.4 g.
