A flint scraper dating to the Neolithic period, c. 4000-2350 BC. The scraper has been made on a flake and could be described as a 'thumbnail' scraper due to its size. There is no bulb or platform retained. Invasive soft-hammer retouch is visible around both laterals and the distal end, however there is none on the proximal end. All retouching is limited to the dorsal surface. The scraper has been burnt, after it was formed. A complete knapped lithic implement of Neolithic date. The implement is a scraper formed from a secondary flake which is ovate in both plan and section. The ventral surface is smooth with a prominent bulb of percussion and the striking platform still remains. Numerous irregular flakes have been removed from the dorsal surface and short, abrupt, stepped retouch is present along the edges. The flint is a dark grey colour. The implement is 22.5mm long, 20.5mm wide, 9.3mm thick and weighs 4.9g.

It is a tertiary flake and is roughly teardrop shaped in plan and flat elliptical in section. The flint has a sharp curved point at the distal end. This point has been produced by minimal short, sub-parallel, semi-abrupt, soft hammer retouch to the left edge of the distal end carried out from the dorsal face. There is also edge damage, or possible very fine retouch on the right side at the proximal end. The flint is 30.2mm long x 14.5mm wide x 4.2mm thick. Weight 1.2g.

Th flint is dark grey in colour and shows little patination. It measures 51.45mm in length, 49.77mm in width, is 16.95mm thick and weighs 47.39g.
