A Post Medieval to Modern copper alloy pendant in the form of woman, dating AD 1750-1850. The woman is articulated and appears to be wearing a bodice with a long skirt that ends just above her ankles. She is also wearing a large bonnet. In her right hand is a telescope, which can be raised to her eye when moving the arm. Attached to the back of the bonnet is an integral suspension loop and within that loop is a separate loop, formed of copper alloy wire. A 19th-20th century modern replica of a silver penny of Aelfred Rex, which has been turned into a pendant by means of a nicely produced loop with rivet. The obverse depicts a helmeted bust facing left similar to London Monogram types, but is left facing, rather than right, with the addition of a sword behind his head.
