A copper-alloy apothecaries' weight of Post-Medieval date. It is square in form and rectangular in section. On one face is a stamped mark of value for a half drachm (1.94g), the other face is unmarked. This weight measures 10.46mm in length, 10.22mm in width, 2.44mm in thickness, and 1.75g in weight.
This is an apothecaries' of Post-Medieval date falling just below the standard weight for a half drachm. It is likely to date to between the 17th and 19th centuries Ad (see Withers and Withers, 1995: p. 65; Biggs, 1992: pp. 8-9).
