Post medieval lead inkwell of 17th to 18th century date The inkwell is complete with some surface damage (with a length of 44.0mm and a weight of 254.8g). The base is flat and sub-circular with nine bold ribs (giving a diameter of 40.6mm - 13.0mm). The base appears to be inscribed with monograms, with possibly two represented with differing styles and form. The central, deeper and initial monogram appears to be NT, and is flanked by NJ, but with an inconsistent orientation.
