An incomplete cast copper alloy late Iron Age to early Roman strap union of Taylor and Brailsford's (1985:247) Type 1.2. The strap union is formed of two circular conjoined openwork elements arranged like a figure of eight. They are flat on the underside and domed on top. There is the remains of the strap bars eminating from the centre of each side of the figure of eight, with one strap bar surviving to a length of 9.1mm. An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age La Tene I brooch dating to the period c. 400 - 200 BC. Only two loops of the pin remain wrapped around the remains of the copper alloy axis bar. It terminates in an old break. The pin is missing. The bow arches upwards from the head and is cylindrical in cross-section. The bow is undecorated. It then arches downwards into the foot which terminates in a curled catchplate. The brooch measures 31.48mm in length, 6.05mm maximum width, 2.87mm minimum width and is 6.46mm thick. It weighs 3.36g. Cf. Hattatt, R, 2007, p. 288, nos. 221 & 724.

An incomplete Iron Age copper alloy pin, dating 500-200 BC. The pin is formed of a disc shaped head on top of a circular sectioned shank that tapers to the point. There is a ridge running around the edge of the head with a decorative rib above and below. On top of the ead is a recess in which a decorative material would have been placed, either enamel or coral, though it is no longer present. In the centre of the recess is a peak that would have helped hold the enamel or coral in place. The object has a dark-mid brown pattination and is bent at about 45 degrees halfway along the shank…
