An incomplete unidentified object, very similar to BH-CA39C0. It comprises an incomplete copper-alloy ring, circular in cross-section (c.3mm diameter) and with a double moulded collar to one side from which extends a circular-section spigot, apparently tapering to a point. It measures 15.77mm in length, 15.27mm in max.width and 6.57mm in max.thickness (at the collar). It weighs 2.42g.
Of BH-CA39C0 the authors write 'The form of this piece suggests it was probably a swivelling handle attachment, probably from a Roman metal vessel'.

An incomplete Early Post-Medieval (1500-1700) hooked tag, consisting of an incomplete openwork plate and a rectangular loop. The hook is missing. It measures 17.19mm in incomplete length, 14.96mm in width, 1.67mm in max.thickness and weighs 1.19g.
Flanking the rectangular loop (internal measurement 11.21x3.16mm) is a wide (7mm), concave cross-sectioned groove. Beyond this is openwork decoration with a circular hole at each corner and below and between a trefoil. The edges of this has worn breaks.
The broad transverse groove is comparable to several in Read (2008). See for example ff.88, nos.298, 299, 312-4.

An incomplete copper alloy finger ring with moulded decoration, of medieval dating (AD 1200 to AD 1500).
The finger ring consists of a copper alloy hoop with moulded decoration. It has a D shaped cross section with a prominent ridge on the external surface. This central ridge is 2.6mm wide and is flanked by two parallel recessed incomplete edges. The central ridge demonstrates a regular pattern of short vertical incised grooves.
The internal surface of the ring exhibits a large number of file marks. No inscription appears to be present.
The ring measures: 18.4 mm external diameter, 11.5 mm internal diameter, 3.6 mm width and 3.8 mm thick. It weighs 2.4 grams.
The ring is a mid green colour, with an even surface patina. Abrasion, caused by movement, whilst within the plough soil, has resulted in a loss of some of the original surface.
Several comparative examples have been recorded. WMID-6296C3 is of a similar style, although the decoration is slightly different, was recovered from a site in Staffordshire as well. Excavations in London have turned up similar examples, with a similar style of decoration but without the prominent ridge. (Pritchard, 2002, p332, examples 1627 and 1629). The two examples from London came from contexts dated to the 15th Century.

A complete copper alloy ring or loop which functioned as a curtain fitting, of Post Medieval dating (15th to 17th Centuries AD).
It is sub-circular in shape with a circular cross section with rounded edges. In profile the loop is flat. Filemarks are present on both the front and back surfaces.
It measures 30.6 mm external diameter, 22.6 mm internal diameter and 3.9 mm thick. The ring is 4.1 mm wide. It weighs 9.4 grams.
The curtain fitting is a dark green colour, with an even surface patina.
Similar rings are illustrated in Margeson (1993, p. 82, Fig 47, #522-524). Margeson describes them as being suspension rings which were probably multi-functional, including curtain rings. The three excavated from Norwich (No. 522-524) date from the mid 15th to mid 17th century. Egan (pers comm) suggested they date from the 14th to 18th century and there is evidence they were used as curtain rings.

A complete copper alloy single loop buckle frame and pin, of Medieval dating (AD 1250 to AD 1500).
The buckle has a sub oval frame, with an expanded outside edge. The strap bar is narrowed. The pin has been made from a triangular piece of sheet copper alloy metal. It has been wrapped around the strap bar. The pin narrows to a blunt point.
The buckle measures 13.5 mm in length, 8.6 mm wide and 2.9 mm thick. It weighs 0.5 g.
The buckle is a mid green colour, with an even surface patina. Abrasion, caused by movement whilst within the plough soil, has resulted in a loss of some of the original surface detail.

An incomplete Roman (AD 50-150) copper alloy Colchester derivitive brooch with a spring mechanism, missing most of one wing, the foot and catchplate, and the spring and pin. The brooch measures 42.01mm in incomplete length and weighs 7.78g. All original patina is missing and all breaks are old.
The wings are 'C' shaped in cross-section and span 19.48mm. Originally, they would have spanned c.28mm. There is no apparent decoration to the front of the wings. At the centre of the reverse and extending above into the top of the bow are the remains of a double-pierced lug.
The bow is D-shaped in cross-section where it extends from the front and above the wings. It has a moulding extending along it from the double-pierced lug and a moulded D-shape on either side where it joins the wings. Running down the centre are traces of a pair of vertical ribs or grooves.
The bow narrows to 2.95mm at the worn break above the foot. To the reverse only c.3mm depth of the catchplate survives.
The hump of the bow is quite large and similar to those of 'dolphin' type, although the bow does drop in rather a straight line (though perhaps through damage).
