Incomplete Roman copper alloy probable strap-end or pendant, D-sectioned, outer part missing. The sides curl inward and conjoin before continuing as separate points. A rectangular loop springs from the curled sides formed from two short, broad sides with groove at the junction with the straight bar. This object resembles a 2nd to 3rd-century military buckle such as shown in James 2004, nos. 72-3 or Oldenstein 1976, Kat. Nr. 1011-14, but lacks a pin bar. It is perhaps more likely to have been a strap-end or pendant, such as an ornate strap-end illustrated in Appels and Laycock 2007, 96…

Post-medieval gilt copper alloy harness mount with remains of a pair of integral circular-sectioned attachment spikes on the reverse. A more slender version of Read 2001, nos. 287 and 288 with a circular lobe at the broad end, trefoil at the other end. The face is decorated with a longitudinal line of small punched annulets between six slightly larger annulets. Length 28mm. Width 8mm. 17th century.

Post-medieval copper alloy harness mount, flat with one surviving of a pair of integral oval-sectioned attachment spikes bent inward on the reverse. Worn and corroded counter-relief decoration on the front is centred around the head of a putto and there are two apertures. Length or height 30mm. Width 55.5mm. Thickness excluding spikes 3mm. The form and the decoration is close to those of several Norfolk examples and others, see list attached to the description of an example from Tacolneston (NMS-D64F96). 17th century.
