A sub-cuboidal piece of burnt flint/chert, possibly used as a prehistoric pot boiler. The surface is a greyish white with a crazed surface which is consistant with heating and rapid cooling cycles. Length: 47.09 mm. Width:38.24 mm. Thickness:29.49 mm. Weight:73 grams. FLO comment: The evidence for such stones having been used as pot boilers is limited, and it is possible that this is simply an accidentally burned stone.

A sub-ovoid piece of burnt flint, possibly used as a prehistoric pot boiler. The surface is a greyish white with a crazed surface consistent with the heating and rapid cooling of flint. A number of flint implements have been found in the immediate area dating from the Mesolithic: Neolithic and the Bronze Age. Length: 53.06 mm. Width: 36.51 mm. Thickness: 28.01 mm. Weight: 63 grams. FLO comment: The evidence for such stones having been used as pot boilers is limited, and it is possible that this is simply an accidentally burned stone.

A cast copper-alloy stud or rivet of uncertain Roman or later date. It has a dome-shaped head that has flat back and rounded front face, which is slightly faceted around its edges. At the centre of the back face is an integral shaft that is square in section and tapers to a sharp point. The entire object has a dark brown patina with some pitting in places. It measures 11.98mm in diameter, 12.67mm in height, and 1.70g in weight.

An incomplete unidentified object, very similar to BH-CA39C0. It comprises an incomplete copper-alloy ring, circular in cross-section (c.3mm diameter) and with a double moulded collar to one side from which extends a circular-section spigot, apparently tapering to a point. It measures 15.77mm in length, 15.27mm in max.width and 6.57mm in max.thickness (at the collar). It weighs 2.42g. Of BH-CA39C0 the authors write 'The form of this piece suggests it was probably a swivelling handle attachment, probably from a Roman metal vessel'.

A copper alloy fragment of a possible prick spur of uncertain date (possibly medieval to post-medieval - AD c.1100-c.1700), missing all but the goad and a length of the shaft connecting it to the back of the spur. Overall, the fragment measures 29.7mm long and 11.0mm in diameter. It weighs 6.11g. The goad is conical with a slightly flattened point. It measures 12.8mm long and 11.0mm in diameter. The shaft is circular in cross-section and measures 17.1mm long and 3.8mm in diameter.

A copper alloy Roman to medieval (AD c.43-c.1500) awl. Overall, the awl measures 48.3mm long, 5.5mm wide and 5.2mm thick. It weighs 4.69g. The awl is rectangular in cross-section for half its length and circular in cross-section for the other half. Each half narrows to a point. The rectangular cross-sectioned part would have formed the tang and would have been inserted into a handle and the other point would have been the functional end.

Three lead alloy possible gaming pieces of uncertain date. Each piece is circular in plan and is cylindrical. At the top and bottom of each piece, eight sub-triangular or wedge shapes are cut out of the face of the object, creating a sunburst pattern. At its base is a pair of undecorated slightly expanding curvilinear bars 2.45mm in thickness. These connect to a flat oval plate 17.96mm in length, 8.51mm in width, 3.14mm in thickness via a pair of separately cast circular copper-alloy rivets. Flint borer, of uncertain date, Mesolithic to Neolithic (9000 - 2200 BC). The flint is a brown colour and is translucent. It is a tertiary flake and is roughly teardrop shaped in plan and flat elliptical in section. The flint has a sharp curved point at the distal end. This point has been produced by minimal short, sub-parallel, semi-abrupt, soft hammer retouch to the left edge of the distal end carried out from the dorsal face. There is also edge damage, or possible very fine retouch on the right side at the proximal end. The flint is 30.2mm long x 14.5mm wide x 4.2mm thick. Weight 1.2g.

This object measures 22.85mm in length, 18.87mm in width, 6.65mm in thickness, 26.06g in weight. There are similar examples recorded on the PAS database (SF-EB7D11), (LON-6A4983), (NMS-7F64B5), (NMS-05E756). These all suggest a variety of dates, however a later date seems most likely, perhaps in the Medieval to Post-Medieval periods.
