A sub-cuboidal piece of burnt flint/chert, possibly used as a prehistoric pot boiler. The surface is a greyish white with a crazed surface which is consistant with heating and rapid cooling cycles. Length: 47.09 mm. Width:38.24 mm. Thickness:29.49 mm. Weight:73 grams. FLO comment: The evidence for such stones having been used as pot boilers is limited, and it is possible that this is simply an accidentally burned stone.

A sub-ovoid piece of burnt flint, possibly used as a prehistoric pot boiler. The surface is a greyish white with a crazed surface consistent with the heating and rapid cooling of flint. A number of flint implements have been found in the immediate area dating from the Mesolithic: Neolithic and the Bronze Age. Length: 53.06 mm. Width: 36.51 mm. Thickness: 28.01 mm. Weight: 63 grams. FLO comment: The evidence for such stones having been used as pot boilers is limited, and it is possible that this is simply an accidentally burned stone.
