Three lead alloy possible gaming pieces of uncertain date. Each piece is circular in plan and is cylindrical. At the top and bottom of each piece, eight sub-triangular or wedge shapes are cut out of the face of the object, creating a sunburst pattern. The objects are decorated with vertical ridges running down their length.
Two of the gaming pieces weigh 9.0g while the third with more rounded and worn edges weighs 8.3g. Each piece has a mid-brown to light white patina. Due to their small size these objects would not have been practical as a pottery stamps. Although an exact paralle…
