A Roman cast copper alloy bow brooch of T-shaped 'initial' type. The upper part of the bow survives together with the pin, which is hinged. The long and tapering side wings both have roll mouldings and the spine is notched.

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman zoomorphic plate brooch in the form of a bird. It is missing the head, wings, pin, catchplate, lug and part of the tail due to old breaks, now worn.
It is flat. The main body is sub-oval in form and tapers before expanding to a flaring tail. At the top of the body are the remains of where the now missing head would have been placed. Behind the head is a raised downward pointing triangular rib. The rib and the plate to either side are decorated with transverse wavey grooves. An incomplete and bent copper-alloy spoon of Roman date. It is missing the majority of the bowl due to old breaks, now worn.
The handle is a flattened D-shape in section with a flat back and rounded front face. It is undecorated and tapers to a point. The bowl is integrally cast and sub-circular before terminating in old breaks.
This spoon measures 57.15mm in length, 15.32mm in width at the bowl, 3.93mm in width at the handle, 2.04mm in thickness, 2.85g in weight.
There are similar examples from Colchester (Crummy, 1983, p. 70, no. 2008, 2014).

Incomplete Roman copper alloy probable strap-end or pendant, D-sectioned, outer part missing. The sides curl inward and conjoin before continuing as separate points. A rectangular loop springs from the curled sides formed from two short, broad sides with groove at the junction with the straight bar. This object resembles a 2nd to 3rd-century military buckle such as shown in James 2004, nos. 72-3 or Oldenstein 1976, Kat. Nr. 1011-14, but lacks a pin bar. It is perhaps more likely to have been a strap-end or pendant, such as an ornate strap-end illustrated in Appels and Laycock 2007, 96…
