A cast lead two part cloth seal of Post-Medieval date. It comprises two discs joined by a rectangular connecting strip and held together by an integral central rivet that is pushed through and visible on the front face of disc 2. Disc 1 carries a decorative motif comprising a nude female figure standing left, right arm raised holding uncertain object, perhaps a flag or similar that trails behind her back. Post medieval lead inkwell of 17th to 18th century date
The inkwell is complete with some surface damage (with a length of 44.0mm and a weight of 254.8g). The base is flat and sub-circular with nine bold ribs (giving a diameter of 40.6mm - 13.0mm). The base appears to be inscribed with monograms, with possibly two represented with differing styles and form.
