The bracelet is made of silver wires twisted together to form an open hoop with solid terminals; diameter 65mm; weight, 44.32 grams.
Non-destructive surface metal analysis conducted at the British Museum indicated a silver content of over 99% with traces of gold, lead and copper. The high purity suggests the bracelet is not of European origin, while the regularity of manufacture suggests it is probably made of machine-drawn wire in recent times. It does not therefore qualify as Treasure under the stipulated criteria of the Treasure Act.
