An incomplete and very worn cast copper-alloy object, possibly a buckle frame of Medieval to early Post-Medieval date. The surviving fragment is rectangular in form, oval in section, with incomplete arms/sides at top and bottom that are mostly incomplete due to old breaks. The front face of the object has two deep rabbetts creating raised square panels at top, middle and bottom. It measures 40.79mm in length, 11.34mm in width, 7.77mm in thickness, and 15.13g in weight.
This is probably the outer edge from a larger double looped(?) buckle frame of Medieval or later date. Similar frames are noted from London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991: no. 443) and Norwich (Margeson, 1993: no. 154), as well as on the PAS database (e.g. SF-D57136, SF-E70664), although the current example does lack the transverse grooves (for applied wire/decoration?) seen on the noted parallels. It is likely to have performed a similar function, and as such probably dates to the later Medieval to early Post-Medieval date, c.15th-16th centuries AD.

A copper-alloy British coin weight of Post-Medieval date. It is square in form, trapezoidal in cross section and has marks of value on both faces. These comprise the crowned value XVs, flanked by single fleur de lis, within an inner beaded circle. The opposite face has a central rose from which radiate arms terminting in alternating lions and lis, all within an inner circle. It measures 14.46mm in length, 14.55mm in width, 4.18mm in thickness, and 5.97g (92.2 grains) in weight.
This is a worn British coin weight. Its marks indicate it is for a spur ryal (15 shillings) of James I, c.1604-1619 AD, falling just under the standard weight of 98.25 grains (see Withers and Withers, 1995: pp. 38, 68).

Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch fragment, 43mm long and 11mm wide with a weight of 19.59grams. The object consists of a circular head which has a raised collar on its outer edge and faint traces of raised circles at each side (possibly triskele?). The reverse of the head has two bar like protrusions to hold a pin bar, now missing. The bow emerges from the centre of the head and retains a circular cross section down its length. It is at its narrowest at the top but widens out to accomodate a protruding moulded collar. Below this it has a slightly wider circumference than above the moulding and has broken off at this point.

A fragment from a possible palstave of Middle Bronze Age date.
It is rectangular with a prominent stop ridge and flattened sub-rectangular panels to either side which terminate in old breaks. On each outer edge are possible traces of a casting seam, but this is uncertain due to the preservation of the object. Some surfaces display evidence of burning.
This possible palstave measures 27.24mm in length, 17.55mm in width, 14.25mm in thickness, 16.42g in weight.

Early Medieval florid cruciform ? brooch fragment, 29mm long, 27mm wide and 4mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition and weighs 10.80 It has a green and brown surface with cracking which suggests it may have been burnt?
The brooch consists of a triangular shaped head plate with a curved upper surface. This sits above the start of a curved bow, now incomplete. The head plate possibly has raised decoration in the centre representing a human face? The reverse of the head plate has a vertical scar where a pin housing would have sat.

An incomplete copper-alloy lamp hanger or suspender of Medieval date. It is missing one of the arms and the suspension loop due to old breaks, now worn.
It has a cylindrical shaft which terminates in old breaks. At the base of the shaft are three evenly spaced horizontal arms, two complete. The complete arms are triangular in plan and section. The front faces are decorated with a series of transverse grooves. On the underside at the terminal are flattened D-shape projections with central circular apertures, which would have been used as suspension loops for the lamp.
This lamp hanger measures 40.83mm in length, 21.32mm in width, 11.15mm in height, 4.76mm in thickness at the arm, 7.41g in weight.
There are similar examples from London (Egan, 1998, p. 131, no. 356, 357).

Late Medieval copper alloy 'beehive' thimble, 13mm high and 17mm in diameter with a weight of 4.13grams. The thimble has a plain cone shaped upper portion, marked with an incised line at its base. Below this is an area of hand drilled indentations bound on its lower side by another incised line. The indentations are separated into three sections by three borders formed of two incised lines. Each forms a curving diagonal line, spiralling down from the upper border to the lower. The thimble is plain below this point.
The thimble is of a 'beehive' type dating to the late Medieval period, 1300-1450 and is similar to WILT-844B31

The scraper is oval in shape with one slightly flatter edge. There is no visible bulb of percussion. This may have been removed by flake removal. The ventral surface exhibits three negative flake removal scars along the top edge. It also exhibits a number of chips around the bottom edge which are most likely recent damage, given the shape of the chips and the colour of patination which is slightly darker than the rest of the object. The dorsal surface has been flaked across almost the entire surface. It retains c. 5% cortex. The bottom edge displays invasive semi-abrupt scaled retouch. The flint shades from off-white to milky blue in colour with darker grey patches indicating more recent damage.
