Each facet on the double bezel has an engraved figure, and the pair represent the Annunciation or the announcement of the Incarnation by the angel Gabriel to Mary (Luke 1:26-38), with Gabriel on the left and Mary on the right. A severely double-struck Medieval short cross penny of Henry III. Probably Class 7b, dating from c. AD 1222-c. 1236. Uncertain moneyer. Probably Canterbury mint. Cf. North 1994 Vol I, p. 223, no. 979, (A)-(D). The letter A is square in shape on the reverse, in keeping with the style of Class 7b. A fragment of a medieval copper alloy strap end; the terminal is missing and the complete strap end would have been of composite construction. What survives is part of one plate which is slightly tapering and has a hollow attachment end with a circular aperture and two rivet holes. The plate is inscribed with a panel containing black letter script but this is difficult to read. What seems to be present are the letter lb[...]. The field between the letters is infilled with zigzags. The reverse is covered in file marks arranged diagonally.

A worn cast copper alloy strap fitting of 13th or 14th century date. Traces of gilding remain. The fitting comprises a U-shaped strip whose fold is rounded and expanded, and which narrows in plan view. The two plates thus formed are 5mm apart and are pierced by two rivets each with a rounded head. The fitting is probably intended for a wooden board or a thick leather strip.

An incomplete and very worn cast copper-alloy object, possibly a buckle frame of Medieval to early Post-Medieval date. The surviving fragment is rectangular in form, oval in section, with incomplete arms/sides at top and bottom that are mostly incomplete due to old breaks.
