Early Medieval florid cruciform ? brooch fragment, 29mm long, 27mm wide and 4mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition and weighs 10.80 It has a green and brown surface with cracking which suggests it may have been burnt?
The brooch consists of a triangular shaped head plate with a curved upper surface. This sits above the start of a curved bow, now incomplete. The head plate possibly has raised decoration in the centre representing a human face? The reverse of the head plate has a vertical scar where a pin housing would have sat.

Early Medieval copper alloy bow brooch fragment, 45mm long, 35mm wide and 4mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition and weighs 24.37grams. The surface patina is odd with green, brown and sooty corrosion, perhaps suggesting the object has been exposed to fire?
The 'square' portion of the brooch is incomplete and appears to house the scar of a catchplate on its reveres, which would make it the 'flat' panel below the bow. It is decorated with a raised rectangular triple border which contains raised decoration which could represent a face?
