It has been struck from a number of angles and exhibits a substantial degree of fracturing. The flint itself is a mottled dark grey shading to off-white and has a high degree of inclusions. The core retains c. 30% cortex. The core measures 81.87mm in length, 70.82mm maximum width, 1.49mm minimum width and weighs 246.77g.

A fragment of a probably late Medieval to early Post-Medieval silver coin of foreign issue. Although one face is illegible with unidentifiable decoration, the other face clearly begins with + BRI. The face with the legible legend also seems to be decorated with a flat-topped object, such as a shield, with a fleur extending from each of the remaining upper corners and a further elongated fleur extending from the object's centre. The coin is in a significantly fragile state and has broken into two pieces after discovery.

The badge depicts the Virgin Mary in a long gown, holding a sceptre in right hand and the baby Jesus in the left. The Virgin is crowned and the child has a halo with radiating rays projecting. There would have been a dove below, but this is no longer present. On the reverse are two integral rivets, following the line of a casting seem running vertically down the badge. A post-medieval cast copper-alloy button with a convex front and integral attachment loop set centrally in the concave back. The front of the button is decorated with annulets, dots and crescents forming a central foliate, four floral sprays and four bunches of grapes, evenly set. The background, although worn in places, consists of a field of tiny dots.The back is plain apart from the loop.
