An unfinished Post Medieval lead alloy fitting, dating to the 16th century. The object is formed of a fleur-de-lys shaped plate with a rectangular tab below. Extending below the tab is a rounded projection which resembles a hing joint, though has no perforation for an axial bar. There is a four-petalled flower decoration on the outer face of the fleur-de-lys and a double line engraved on the rectangular tab. There is a bevelled edge running around the plate. The front face of the attachment end is possibly decorated with a fan shaped motif but it is now too worn to be certain.
