An incomplete polyhedral chape, probably dating to the Medieval period. The object is formed of a solid cast polyhedral shape with a small rounded projection on one end and an open flaring shank projecting below. The shank has been broken at the base and there is compacted material within. The object has a dark brown pattination. Similar examples have been found on the PAS database (SWYOR-B1FFB4 and LIN-C71A35), though often made of silver and none have the projection on the top.
