Silver-gilt iconographic finger ring with a ridged bezel with two facets divided by a central mid-rib and bordered by accentuated edges. Each facet on the double bezel has an engraved figure, and the pair represent the Annunciation or the announcement of the Incarnation by the angel Gabriel to Mary (Luke 1:26-38), with Gabriel on the left and Mary on the right. Gabriel is kneeling with his hands raised up in prayer and with a dove above his head, which came from the mouth of God in the typical iconography of the 14th to the 15th century. A severely double-struck Medieval short cross penny of Henry III. Probably Class 7b, dating from c. AD 1222-c. 1236. Uncertain moneyer. Probably Canterbury mint. Cf. North 1994 Vol I, p. 223, no. 979, (A)-(D). The letter A is square in shape on the reverse, in keeping with the style of Class 7b. In addition, the style of the hair curls is similarly upturned and crescentic. The bust is positioned very close to the lower inner circle, with a ringed collar. A silver pendant, probably of recent date. The pendant is oval with a rounded face and a flat back with multiple file marks. On the rounded face is a group of twelve unevenly drilled pits arranged into the form of a horseshoe. A single drilled aperture is sited at the opening of the horseshoe. The pendant gives the impression of its being a home made item.
