Grey semi-translucent flint with cloudy patches of patina possible leaf arrowhead. Thin flake of irregular rhomboid form with covering low angle scalar parallel retouch on its dorsal side and ripples on the ventral. This falls between the curved leaf form and the angular very finely finished points of the later Neolithic, of which the quality of this example falls far short. Suggested date: Neolithic, 4000-2350 BC.

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative rear hook bow brooch. It is missing both of its wings due to old breaks, perhaps the result of deliberate breakage of the brooch, although this is uncertain. At the head of the brooch is an integrally cast, rear facing rectangular lug, and on the underside of the head the top of the bow has a semi-circular moulding where it meets the wings.
