A fragment of a probably late Medieval to early Post-Medieval silver coin of foreign issue. Although one face is illegible with unidentifiable decoration, the other face clearly begins with + BRI. The face with the legible legend also seems to be decorated with a flat-topped object, such as a shield, with a fleur extending from each of the remaining upper corners and a further elongated fleur extending from the object's centre. The coin is in a significantly fragile state and has broken into two pieces after discovery.

A silver cut halfpenny of Henry III. Voided long-cross coinage, probably North Class 3, dating from 1248-1250. Mint of Lincoln.Cf. North 1991 Vol II, p. 226, nos. 986-988/1; probably Class 3c, but this is unclear due to the detail of the cut half remaining. The obverse bust is somewhat crude and the individual small and large pellets have blurred together to create haphazard dashes for the beard.
