A silver cut halfpenny of Henry III. Voided long-cross coinage, probably North Class 3, dating from 1248-1250. Mint of Lincoln.Cf. North 1991 Vol II, p. 226, nos. 986-988/1; probably Class 3c, but this is unclear due to the detail of the cut half remaining. The obverse bust is somewhat crude and the individual small and large pellets have blurred together to create haphazard dashes for the beard.

A fragment of a probably late Medieval to early Post-Medieval silver coin of foreign issue. Although one face is illegible with unidentifiable decoration, the other face clearly begins with + BRI. The face with the legible legend also seems to be decorated with a flat-topped object, such as a shield, with a fleur extending from each of the remaining upper corners and a further elongated fleur extending from the object's centre. The coin is in a significantly fragile state and has broken into two pieces after discovery.

A severely double-struck Medieval short cross penny of Henry III. Probably Class 7b, dating from c. AD 1222-c. 1236. Uncertain moneyer. Probably Canterbury mint. Cf. North 1994 Vol I, p. 223, no. 979, (A)-(D). The letter A is square in shape on the reverse, in keeping with the style of Class 7b. In addition, the style of the hair curls is similarly upturned and crescentic. The bust is positioned very close to the lower inner circle, with a ringed collar. The letter x in 'REX' is very small, with soft edges. The double-striking on this coin is quite severe, with two copies of the…

Silver-gilt iconographic finger ring with a ridged bezel with two facets divided by a central mid-rib and bordered by accentuated edges. Each facet on the double bezel has an engraved figure, and the pair represent the Annunciation or the announcement of the Incarnation by the angel Gabriel to Mary (Luke 1:26-38), with Gabriel on the left and Mary on the right. Gabriel is kneeling with his hands raised up in prayer and with a dove above his head, which came from the mouth of God in the typical iconography of the 14th to the 15th century. Mary is standing facing left with a halo because…

A silver object, possibly part of larger object. Flat on both sides. In plan one end of the object begins with a semi-circular shape, and is then cinched towards the centre. Above this follows an oval shape after which the object is cinched again. This is followed by a flat oval collar. Above this is a baluster shape, with a joining collar from which a sub-rectangular shape begins. When viewed from the side, the entire object is sub-rectangular and appears designed so that a spindle or rod can be inserted through the semi-circular end and the edges of the object wrapping around the sp…
