An incomplete copper-alloy lamp hanger or suspender of Medieval date. It is missing one of the arms and the suspension loop due to old breaks, now worn.
It has a cylindrical shaft which terminates in old breaks. At the base of the shaft are three evenly spaced horizontal arms, two complete. The complete arms are triangular in plan and section. The front faces are decorated with a series of transverse grooves. On the underside at the terminal are flattened D-shape projections with central circular apertures, which would have been used as suspension loops for the lamp.
