An incomplete copper alloy Roman (AD 75-175) trumpet brooch, consisting of the trumpet head (with incomplete head-loop) and the upper bow only. The pin also is incomplete projecting 11.17mm - the brooch measures 48.34mm. It weighs 23.47g.
The plate-head is oval in shape with the remains of a loop projecting at the centre of the curved edge. The head measures 31.62mm wide and 21.62mm high including the remains of the loop which projects 4.25mm beyond the trumpet head.
The bow curves outwards and downwards (10.92mm wide) from the bottom of the head and is D-shaped in cross-section. …

Roman copper alloy headstud type brooch, 35mm long (folded c.50 originally), 18mm wide (at wings) and 3.5mm thick. The object is in a fair condition and weighs 14.15grams.
The brooch consists of solid semi-circular cross-sectioned wings which still hold the loop portion of the pin on a central bar. The upper suspension loop is missing and the front of the wings are sharplystepped.
The bow, which is rectangular in cross-section, is decorated with a large circular depression containing a raised pellet. Below this the surface is divided into enamel cells (now missing) arranged …

Roman copper alloy Aesica brooch of Hook Norton and related type. It is missing its wings and pin and consists of a circular upper plate with two small rectangular projections, one at each side. The surface is contained within a raised border and is decorated with two vertical raised lines which contains three rectangular cells for enamel (now missing). An incomplete copper alloy Roman T-shaped brooch with glass or enamel inlay dating to the period c. AD 50 - 150. The lower bow, pin and catchplate are missing. The brooch is 20.75mm in length, 28.15mm wide and 9.55mm thick.
The brooch features an incomplete plate projecting from the centre of the head above the pin slot, a fragment of a perforation is visible at the break. The D shaped wings (28.15mm wide and 3.95mm thick) retain the axis bar, the pin is missing. The wings are decorated by four longitudinal grooves on each wing.
