A cast copper-alloy rim fragment from a domestic cooking vessel from the Medieval to post-Medieval periods, circa 1200-1650 . The fragment is thin walled,with a simple outward angled rim. The breaks are worn and there is evidence of sooting to both surfaces. Height: 21.07 mm. Width: 20.21 mm. Thickness: 3.57 mm. Weight: 6.424 grams.

An incomplete cast copper alloy double-looped buckle of Post Medieval date (c.1550-1650 AD). The pin is missing. The frame is convex at the front and flat at the rear and has two identical oval loops. The bar is slightly narrowed, sub-triangular in cross-section (flat at the rear) and extends beyond the frame at each side to form small knops. At each outside edge of the frame there is a moulded rosette motif. There is no evidence on the outside edges for a pin rest. The frame has traces of a black substance. An incomplete cast copper-alloy cooking vessel leg/foot from the Medieval to post-Medieval periods, circa 1200-1650 . The leg fragment consists of a thickened and splayed foot with a vertical central ridge. In section, the base is sub-oval, the top is roughly D-shaped, with the ridge to the back of the D. The break has a degraded green/brown patina which matches the other surfaces,suggesting this is not a recent break.There is evidence of sooting at the base of the leg. Height: 57.93 mm. In section, the base is sub-triangular,with a flat back and tapered sides. The top is very worn at the break and with the patina suggests this is not a recent break.There is evidence of sooting and the object has a green patina with some soil impaction. Height: 57.30 mm. An incomplete Medieval to Post Medieval cast copper alloy double-looped buckle (c.1350-1650). The pin is missing. The frame is convex at the front and flat at the rear. Each loop is oval in plan and similar in size and each loop is bevelled internally at the front. The narrowed bar is triangular in cross-section and has iron staining at the centre. This frame is corroded and has traces of a dark green patina. The buckle is 29.51 mm in length, 26.31 mm wide, 3.08 mm thick and weighs 5.3 grams. Similar buckles have been published and dated c.1350-1650 (Whitehead 1996, p.53).

A Post Medieval cast copper alloy double-looped buckle (c.1570-1700). The frame and pin are complete. This buckle is flat at the front and flat at the rear. It is rectangular in plan, has rounded corners and each loop is similar and rectangular. The narrowed bar is triangular in cross-section, flat at the rear. Viewing the buckle from the side, each loop rises, from the centre to the outer edges and is at angles of about 6° from the horizontal plane. An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy spoon (c. 1675-c. 1715). The terminal and the majority of the bowl are missing due to breaks. The stem or handle is bent about halfway along its length. It is roughly oval in cross-section but flatter at the front and rear. On the back of the bowl fragment there is a raised moulded line tapering in width from the handle. An incomplete but slightly misshapen Medieval to post-Medieval copper-alloy closed thimble (c. 1400-c. 1550). This thimble is domed and the thick walls, including the crown, have horizontal circumferential (rather than spiralling) hand drilled circular pits. The rim is plain and almost complete and there are no manufacture marks. The thimble is green with brown deposits of an uncertain material. A small amount of material has been lost around the rim. An incomplete post-Medieval four part Charles II or James II alnage cloth seal (c. 1662-c. 1700). This single disc is moulded at the front, flat and plain at the rear. The front depicts a bare-headed bust right, possibly of Charles II with the inscription: MAG BRI REX It is slightly damaged and has a buff patina. Diameter: 14.1mm; thickness: 0.8mm. Weight: 1.17g.
