A complete copper alloy strap clasp or buckle frame dating to the medieval period. The main clasp frame is rectangular in plan with a cast knop in the form of a crowned head on the outer bar. The features including detail in the crown, the eyes nose and mouth has been enhanced by engraving. The shoulders widen below the 'neck' before turning into the main frame and decreasing in size. Gilmore's Head and Shoulders type, dating to the 14th century AD (see http://finds.org.uk/blogs/westmidlands/2011/01/06/kings-head-strap-clasps-or-buckles/).

A complete cast copper alloy toggle dating from the Late Iron Age to Early Roman period (c. 100 BC-AD 100). The main body is dumbbell-shaped and broadly circular in cross-section. There is a moulded groove beneath the loop, while scored grooves around the ends of the dumbbell are the only other decoration. The sub-triangular attachment loop extends from the centre of the dumbbell and curves up and backwards. An incomplete cast copper alloy mount, possibly a strap fitting, of post-medieval date. The mount is sub-triangular with a extended knop at its peak. The mount has been heavily gilded, which obscures much of the moulded detail. This moulded details appears to comprise a cherub's head surrounded by a ruff and floral decoration with scrolls below; the style suggests a c.17th century date. Slender leaf-shaped gold strip, the ends folded over to form a distorted ring. Both ends are pierced; the two holes were executed from opposite sides of the strip. While one end is intact and tongue-shaped, the other is squared off and may retain the very slight trace of an original piercing or other feature. A copper alloy surveyors; measuring tag, or 'Gunter's tag' dating to the post-medieval period. The tag has four prongs and an oval attachment hole in the peak. The surveying chain was first recorded by Edmund Gunter in 1579 and the example shown would not have pre-dated 1620, however it is not a standardly recorded type and therefore may be an early example. A copper alloy annular brooch of medieval date. The brooch is of unusual form, comprising eight cojoined lobe which forms the shape of the brooch. There is a constrictin for the pin, which is extant and 27.07mm in length. The upper side of the brooch is rounded while the underneath is flat. Several lobed brooches have been recorded on this database (including SWYOR-A48022, YORYM-115744, PAS-376815 and WILT-A1F047).
