A cast copper-alloy buckle, probably a spur buckle, of Medieval date. It has a D-shaped frame with expanded outer edge and projecting knops at each side of the bar. At the inner edge of the frame is a large circular pin hole through which hinges a separately cast copper-alloy pin that is rectangular in form and section with a small transverse rectangular rib or grip at the bar end. An unpatinated struck flint implement of uncertain form, possibly an ovate or a roughout for an axe or similar implement. It is struck from a mottled pale grey flint and is of crude handaxe form with pointed oval cross-section, tapering in profile at both ends. The object has very crude bifacial working, although some of the flakes, particularly at each end, may well be the result of damage rather than deliberate striking of the flint.
