A copper alloy dupondius or as of the emperor Hadrian (AD 117-38) dating to the period AD 132-134. (Reece Period 6). The obverse depicts a bare head facing right and is inscribed [HADRIANVS] - AVGVSTVS. The reverse depicts Roma standing right, foot on helmet, holding spear and cornucopiae and is inscribed COS - III PP S C. Mint of Rome. RIC vol II p 433 no 716a. The weight of this coin suggests that it is most llikely to be a dupondius.
