A Medieval or Post Medieval (12th to mid 19th centuries) cooking vessel leg: In plan the leg is an elongated triangle with the tip forming the foot. The upper terminal has obliquely angled sides which have broken edge, and the actual surface is smooth and forms the interior surface of the vessel. In section the leg is sub-triangular with the back face being concave. The outer face has two vertical ridges as decoration. A Roman Colchester derivative, Polden Hill brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill (Mackreth Group 5, flat wing ends type, Western Group), Mackreth 2011, 5.b1. Plate 50. Post Medieval (late 16th to 17th centuries) buckle: The copper alloy buckle frame is asymmetrical in plan, with one trapezoidal shaped loop and the other D-shaped. Both loops have a notch. The strap bar is sub- trapezoidal in section. The pin is missing. The edges of the frame are bevelled on the exterior edges. The surface of the frame has a green patina with a white metal alloy.
