A copper alloy medieval or post-medieval beehive type thimble dating to the period c. AD 1400 - 1600. The thimble stands 15.19mm tall and weighs 4.54g. The thimble would have been domed, with slightly flared sides and a rounded top, however, it has been squashed out of shape during deposition and now has a concave top, with evidence of cracking aorund the top. The mouth of the thimble has also been stamped shut and the rim curled imwards. The drilled pits cover the entire surface of the thimble and follow a regular spiralling pattern around the body of the object.
