Copper alloy equal armed brooch comprising of two opposing triangular plates that are joined by an arched bow. The brooch is decorated with recessed linear and ring designs depicting a bordered face-mask on each plate which are consistent with Style I. The decoration comprises of, on one plate, a cluster of three small rings in the centre with a double line below and a ring in each corner, while on the other plate are two rings with three lines below, and a ring in the tip. A complete copper alloy annular brooch of medieval date. The brooch frame is sub ovate in plan as it has been broken and bent out of shape. It has a trefoil design of tall circular collets (or turrets) projecting from the upper surface at quarterly intervals. Eleven of the collets are filled with an off-white substance which is probably calcium carbonate paste and the third is now empty. An incomplete copper-alloy brooch of ansate (caterpillar) type of broadly middle Anglo-Saxon date. Only the terminal and part of the bow and double lug survive, the remainder of the object is missing due to old breaks, now worn. The bow is rectangular in section with a central arch. An incomplete copper alloy Roman probable 'composite gilded spoked disc' brooch dating to c. AD 100-300. To the reverse the pin and spring have been lost while to the front the separate spokes and central boss are missing. The object has traces of a black substance, possibly soot, on both faces, suggesting it may have been burnt. The edges are also damaged. A fragment of Roman (AD 50-150) copper alloy T-shaped brooch (Colchester derivative) with hinge mechanism, missing most of one wing, the lower bow and catchplate, and the pin. The brooch measures 20.12mm in incomplete length and weighs 5.75g. The tubular wings span an incomplete 27.01mm. Originally, they would have spanned c.36mm. To the front, top and underside they are decorated with a narrow but thickened band encircling the surviving open end and projecting forwards. A Roman brooch (AD c. 80-120): The copper alloy brooch is incomplete, the wings are semi-cylindrical, and have only traces remaining. At the upper edge of the wings and bow head there is a trace of an integral hook which would have held the chord in place. The axis bar, spring and pin are all missing. The bowhead is hump-like in profile and is undecorated. The bow is sub oval in section, and tapers to a broken edge. The surface of the brooch has and incomplete mid green patina.
