Post-medieval half-ounce Avoirdupois discoidal lead weight stamped with the royal cipher, a crown over [?] R. A hole has been roughly driven through the monarch's initial letter. It is tempting to imagine that the letter was C and the perpetrator a keen Republican. Diameter 21.7 - 23mm. Thickness 3.5mm. Weight 13.26g / 0.4680oz.

A complete high tin content copper alloy buckle of post-medieval date. The buckle is a double looped sub-annular shape with a raised strap bar. The pin no longer survives though iron corrosion present on the strap bar and around one loop suggest the separately cast pin was iron. The metal has a shiny silver patina and is worn. The buckle is 18mm long, 14.6mm wide, 1.8mm thick and weighs 1.5g. Similar examples are illustrated in Whitehead, p.48, and are dated to circa AD 1650 - 1720.

A worn Medieval cast copper-alloy rotary key (c. 1200-c. 1400). The bow is lozenge shaped, flat on each side, and has a knop at three corners, one at each side and one at the tip. The knop at the tip is elongated whereas the others are rounded. Between the bow and stem there is a collar which is flat on one side. The stem is parallel and sub-oval in cross-section and one side is flat. It is hollow to a depth of 4.5mm and it is uncertain whether this end is complete. A complete cast copper-alloy toy cannon of Post-Medieval to Modern date. It has a cylindrical barrel that tapers towards a flaring open end with concave moulding. At the centre extend integrally cast cylindrical trunnions to attach the cannon to a carriage. It has a small circular touch hole at the closed end positioned between two circumferential bands, and the closed end itself has a projecting oval knop with circumferential rib. A complete copper alloy strap loop belt mount of medieval date. The mount is trapezoidal in plan with an integral attachment rivet projecting centrally from the shorter edge. The mount is undecorated. The metal has a dark reddish-brown patina and is worn. The mount is 14.3mm long, 12.9mm wide, 3.3mm thick and weighs 1.1g. Similar mounts can be seen in Egan and Pritchard, p.232, fig.147.

A complete copper alloy buckle of medieval date. The buckle is a single looped oval with a narrowed and offset strap bar and ornate outer edges. Two prominent knops flank five grooves on the outer edge of the loop. The metal has a light brownish-green patina and is worn. The buckle is 21.2mm long, 18.1mm wide, 4.1mm thick and weighs 2.8g. A similar example is illustrated in Whitehead p.22, no.87 and is dated to circa AD 1250 - 1400.

Incomplete post-medieval copper alloy rowel spur, the rowel, all of one side and the terminal of the other missing. The neck is short and comprises a convex moulding between two grooves. The rowel box gently droops. A small example, the sides being only 6mm wide. The overall width can be estimated at c.60mm. Extant length 70mm. 17th century.

Fragment of an unidentified copper alloy probably Roman object, rectangular sectioned with both ends broken across a much narrower bar. The main part, flanked by a moulded groove on both sides and on all faces, is decorated on its two large faces with cross-hatching inlaid with red enamel. The object is somewhat abraded with parts of the patination and the inlay lost. Width 9.2mm. Thickness 5.7mm. Width and thickness at the breaks 6 and 2mm. Extant length 16mm. Perhaps 2nd - 3rd century.
