Pottery. Possible Beverleyware body sherd; an entirely oxidised fabric with sparse tiny calcareous grains, from a vessel with external ridging. This sherd was kindly identified by Helen Fry and Sandra Firth of the North Lincolnshire Pottery Research Group. Suggested date: Medieval, 1200-1350. An accompanying sherd of modern rooftile is not further recorded.

One base sherd from a flat based jar with a low bead at the foot.
One rim sherd from jar with an upright rim with external bead. 1st to 2nd century

A sherd of pottery. Coarse and poorly sorted temper of abundant sand with frequent larger calcareous pieces (up to 5mm) . The core is reduced dark grey, the margins are buff to brown. A body sherd from near the rim (probably). There is a pre-firing perforation below the flare of the rim eversion. Handmade.
