A cast copper alloy Colchester one-piece Late Iron Age to early Roman brooch dating to AD 25-60. The wings are sub-rectangular in plan and trapezoidal in cross-section. The wings are undecorated. The undecorated bow extends from the wings tapering in width towards the complete foot which is rounded. The bow is oval in cross-section and is faceted. At the rear of the bow, transverse file and hammering marks are visible. The catchplate is largely missing but can be seen to have been pierced with at least two apertures due to the incomplete projections. The brooch is a sprung example …

An incomplete cast lead alloy disc, probably used as a crude sundial of Post-Medieval date. Three fragments of the object are present, two of which join, and it would have been circular when complete. The object is flat. At the centre of the largest fragment the edge of an incomplete perforation is visible which would have been at the centre of the object. This is surrounded by a circumferential band. Running 5.24mm from the outer edge of the object are two shallow circumferential grooves. On the rear of the object is a single circumferential groove bordering the edge of the object. …
