An incomplete copper alloy Roman finger ring dating to the period c. AD 43 - 410. The ring is D-shaped in profile with an oval bezel consisting of a raised metal reserve which forms an oval recess for a glass or paste setting (now missing). The outer edges of the reserve feature a series of longitudinal grooves. The bezel measures 12.54mm in length, 8.64mm in width and is 2.38mm deep. The bezel is flanked by oval shoulders, each of which features a small depression in the centre. The loop then tapers from the shoulders. Cast lead or lead alloy probable gaming piece of probable Roman - post medieval date (50-1800). The artefact is cylindrical in shape, circular in plan. The side edges are faceted. The upper and lower faces are plain and flat with no obvious decoration. The gaming piece is a mid grey cream colour with an even patina, there is no evidence of distinct abrasion. A direct parallel has not been found.
The gaming piece measures 17.5mm length, 17.2mm width, is 8.2mm high and weighs 17.5 grams.

A cast lead or lead alloy spindle whorl of Roman to Post Medieval date (1 - 1650 AD), most probably Roman (AD 50-400). The spindle whorl is broadly circular in plan and flat / rectangular shaped in cross section. The central hole is an irregular five sided circle and has been cast / set off centre; it has an internal diameter of 8.5mm. There is no evidence of cast designs present. The spindle whorl is a cream - white colour with an abraded and broken patina. The whorl has also been abraded and rolled in the plough soil and the edges have been damaged.
